A young and dynamic ensemble

Founded in 2018 by Pierre Le Tallec, Exode des Rennes is made up of young musicians from Rennes' musical institutions (Conservatoire and Pont Supérieur).

The orchestra is composed of about 20 musicians and 2 to 7 singers: an unusual number of musicians, ideal for accompanying operettas and small operas, but also for bringing to life certain pieces from the "great symphonic repertoire".

Founder, conductor and artistic director

Pierre Le Tallec holds a master's degree in musicology from the University of Rennes 2. He perfected his instrumental skills at the Conservatoire de Rennes in classical harp and opera singing.

He then decided to start conducting and quickly joined the conducting class of Sylvain Blassel, then later of Gonzalo Bustos. In addition, he perfected his skills of musical arrangement and his understanding of the various orchestral instruments in David Lamaze's composing and orchestration classes.

Pierre Le Tallec participates in several projects as a conductor: conducting the concert band of the Musique des Transmissions (Army), participation in a masterclass of Grant Llewellyn organised by the Orchestre National de Bretagne, conducting several amateur orchestras.

In 2018, he created his own ensemble, L'Exode des Rennes. The works performed are often arranged by him to adapt them to the small size of this so-called "theatre" orchestra.

Today, Pierre is a student of the Pont Supérieur de Rennes in opera singing.
